Waste Connections is looking to hire a **Local Garbage Truck Driver** at our site in Austin, TX. The position will be responsible for driving a Residential Garbage Truck with another driver on specified routes to collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites. This job is **_extremely physical_** taking turns working on the back of the garbage truck. You will be on a driver/driver team for 6-12 months before having the opportunity to get promoted in to our other routes. Monday-Friday 6am start time typically working a 10+ hour day. **Job Requirements:** + Class A or B CDL + Clean Driving Record + Excellent customer service skills + Ability to lift 65 lbs throughout a 10+ hour shift. **Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
