The regulation of gaming and the enforcement of criminal gambling laws promote the public's health, safety, and welfare by safeguarding the people of this state against corrupt and dishonest practices. The program also provides professional services in an effective, innovative, and fair manner that instills public confidence while fulfilling duties that ensure accurate revenue collection and reporting from licensees, protect the state's assets, and ensure the integrity of all gaming devices and systems by enforcing compliance with all state laws, regulations, and licensees' internal controls related to legally authorized gaming in Louisiana. As a Gaming Technical Compliance Specialist 4, you will be protecting Louisiana’s gaming integrity by delivering professional, precise, and proactive technical enforcement that inspires public trust and safeguards state assets. Minimum Qualifications Five years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR Six years of full-time experience in any area plus two years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR An associate's degree plus three years of information technology or electronic technician experience; OR A bachelor’s degree plus two years of information technology or electronic technician experience. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any area. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any area. Our mission is to: + Certify and inspect gaming systems and devices to protect the public's trust. + Respond swiftly to licensee requests for installs, upgrades, and conversions. + Maintain transparent documentation and communicate findings with accuracy. + Collaborate with enforcement, audit, and technical teams to ensure compliance. + Train and support staff while driving continuous improvement in technical controls. + Safeguard state equipment and oversee inventory with diligence and care.
