Job Title: Event Staff / Game Master Location: Puente Hills, CA Type: Contract (2 months) Compensation: $18.00 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Shifts vary within event hours between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. Exact schedules provided upon hire. Availability during these hours is required. Morning (9:00 a.m.) shifts occur on Saturday and Sunday only. Not all shifts will run until 1:30 a.m. As Event Staff / Game Master, you will help bring a popular anime IP to life by creating an engaging and immersive experience for our players. You’ll interact with guests in character, support game operations, and ensure each session runs smoothly from start to finish. This role is ideal for energetic team players with strong communication skills and a background in hospitality, customer service, or live events. Key Responsibilities + Assist with game and venue setup, resets between sessions, and end-of-day cleanup + Check in players, assist with ticketing questions, distribute items, and manage late arrivals + Manage game flow and monitor player timing to ensure smooth progression + Verify player answers and support puzzle gameplay + Operate basic audiovisual (AV) equipment as needed + Manage inventory, including organizing props and performing equipment checks + Memorize and perform a small number of character lines or actions + Manage lines, crowd flow, and player movement throughout the venue + Respond to and report any on-site issues or concerns + Assist with merchandise sales and process transactions + Take photos for players during or after sessions Qualifications & Requirements + Love for anime, games, or immersive experiences + Strong communication and customer service skills + Ability to learn quickly and follow operational procedures + Comfortable interacting with guests in character + Able to operate basic AV equipment (training provided) + Able to collaborate with a diverse, multilingual team + Positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
