Job Summary
The sales floor service assistant must be able to communicate effectively, maintain the efficiency, cleanliness and safety of the sales areas.
Expected Contributions
Always follow the rules on an ongoing basis. Follow all company and department policies and procedures. Adhere to the attendance policy and report to the workstation at the scheduled start time. Always display a positive and respectful attitude towards all guests and co-workers. Know and abide by all department and hotel related rules, policies, and procedures. Act as point of contact between the sales floor and kitchen staff. Prepare hot beverages (coffee, tea etc.) and stock coolers with cold beverages before the start of the day and restock throughout the day. Set up and refresh the coffee service for employees in the mornings on the mezzanine. Set up and prepare plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, and napkins for service. Serve drinks and starters when customers arrive. Ensure that food is served according to established service and sanitary standards. Ensure that all orders are correct and presented at each table on time. Check if all is well at the vendor tables and bring any additional service or serve more drinks as needed. Be on the lookout for any additional requests. Remove dirty dishes and utensils. Wash dishes, glassware and utensils always keeping the service area clean and in order. Check that the water and anti-bacterial gel dispensers in the service area are clean and tidy. Keep the warehouse clean and organized. Be aware of background music and change it if necessary. Order supplies in advance needed for the daily operation. Report to engineering and Operations Manager any malfunction of the sales floor and mezzanine. Keep sales room tables, chairs, couches, and acrylics clean and orderly at all times and report forgotten items to Operations Manager. Pick up all service from the sales floor and mezzanine, empty refrigerators, clean coffee pots, microwave ovens and toasters, remove trash from the sales floor and mezzanine and leave clean bins at the end of the day. Additional duties may be assigned to them.Candidate Profile
Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent; minimum 6 months experience in the position, in customer service or food and beverage internship. Good verbal communication skills, must be able to speak and understand basic instructions regarding food and beverage service in English. Mid school degree preferred. Experience as a waiter is preferred. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to be flexible and adapt easily to change. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers. Physical ability and stamina to carry boxes, heavy trays and stand for long hours. Ability to maintain a calm and professional attitude in a fast-paced work environment. Good customer service orientation and skills. Be consistently at work and on time; Arrive at appointments on time. Stands, sits, or walks for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs. Moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and places objects weighing more than or equal to 35 pounds without assistance.#imvwsm
