Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Knowledge of speech/language pathology principles, practices and procedures. Working knowledge of child development. Ability to work effectively with students with disabilities and to carry out IEP activities. Ability to interact cooperatively with parents and other professionals. Ability to work independently and to accept direction. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent oral and written communications and human relations skills. Knowledge of and the ability to meet the seven core competencies of the Supporting Services Professional Growth System (SSPGS).
Education Training Experience:
Associates degree required. Bachelor^s degree preferred. Course work in speech/language pathology or equivalent training and experience in the principles and techniques of speech/language pathology. Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, over a sustained period. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience equivalent to an Associates degree, which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position, may be considered.Certificate License:None
