Are you searching for a profession where you can facilitate strategic and complex project management while working in a fun, creative, and open-minded environment focused on continuous improvement and maximizing value? Does the opportunity to collaborate with state agencies to align their facility needs with their mission, vision, and values sound like an exciting career move? If so, the Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS), Capital Projects Procurement Division is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Furniture Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) Coordinator to join our team and ensure projects are competed on time and within budget. We look forward to meeting you!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an FF&E Coordinator, you will assist agencies in making legislative and purchasing requests in a timely manner so that FF&E is available when needed and does not arrive too early, incurring storage fees, or too late which may delay occupancy. This professional also provides data on the projected spending needs for fitting out capital construction projects to the budget office in order to secure appropriate levels of bond funding. You will be responsible for tracking FF&E needs from project inception through occupancy and implementing and maintaining a five-year capital project cash-flow projection for all capital construction projects requiring FF&E.
Duties also entail working across agencies and offices to assure that legislative authority for FF&E funding is available and requested when needed to fit out the Capital Construction Projects. Excellent networking skills are employed to provide superior customer service to our agencies by assisting in navigation between several bureaus in DGS which may include Finance and Risk Management (FARM), Procurement, Bureau of Real Estate, Capital Programs Design Management, and Capital Programs Construction.
