**Security Clearance:**
**The Furnace Deck Supervisor** will drive and support lean process initiatives, scheduling and planning on the furnace deck manufacturing floor. As the Supervisor, core role responsibilities are centered around leading a technical team for developing and driving innovative lean solutions to reduce cost and cycle time, meet on-time delivery targets, reduce product and process variation, decrease days to manufacture, improve planning, scheduling, interface with cross-functional departments and lead the transition to use of automation and new technologies.
**This is an onsite position located in Santa Fe Springs, CA. Relocation assistance will be provided.**
**What You Will Do:**
+ Serve as both the technical lead and personnel supervisor for technicians on team which manage training, hardware management, and consumables for the furnace deck
+ Actively improves and implements new processes and standards in meeting department and site Lean Manufacturing/CORE targets.
+ Furnace deck focal point on planning and scheduling furnace runs
+ Responsible for daily execution of runs including on time delivery metrics and FD visuals
+ Participate in projects/transformations/kaizen events with groups internal and external to the program.
+ Support operations 24/7, responding in real-time to process issues, troubleshooting needs, and operator concerns - ensuring minimal downtime, compliant and continuous safe operations.
+ Owns product quality for SFS programs from a manufacturing engineering perspective, ensuring consistent output and process control to military and internal customers.
+ Ensures standard operating procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), standard work and Engineering Forms (EFs) are thorough, accurate, effective, and up to date.
+ Interfaces with site DCS and learn process control fundamentals.
+ Participate in identifying and sharing best practices across the organization.
**Must Have Qualifications:**
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 5 years prior relevant Manufacturing experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience working with Distributed Control System
+ Knowledge of process control basics and chemical processing unit operations
+ Experience in data mining using systems such as SQL/Python/Minitab
+ Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent experience
+ Cross functional work experience (e. g. Operations, Materials Mgmt. Quality, Business Processes, Supply Chain)
+ Previous experience leading and influencing others and leading/facilitating meetings and events to various levels of the organization

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
