If so, let's start the conversation. **Functional Architect - Implementation Manager** The Functional Architect designs and implements document management systems, leading projects from start to finish. This role defines the technical aspects of applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements and project goals. The architect translates client needs into actionable solutions and provides technical expertise for successful implementation and delivery. **Key Responsibilities** + **Solution Ownership & Technical Strategy:** Serve as the principal architect, owning end-to-end accountability from requirements discovery through solution design and project initiation. Translate business challenges into scalable digital solutions. Lead high-level and detailed architecture and service design. Develop functional/technical designs and detailed documentation. + **Requirement Gathering & Analysis:** Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze business needs, translating them into solution plans and technical specifications. + **Collaboration & Quality Assurance:** Work with development teams to ensure successful implementation. Review designs and test scripts for quality. Manage test strategies and perform solution testing. Collaborate cross-functionally for deliverable and supportable services. + **Problem Solving & Improvement:** Identify and resolve issues, monitor solution performance, and provide optimization recommendations. + **Expertise & Knowledge Transfer:** Provide expertise on functional architecture and application development, and participate in training activities. **Skills and Qualities** + **Technical Expertise:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Expertise in relevant technologies and intelligent content services. Familiarity with two or more of Imaging, ECM, BPM, workflow automation, AI-powered OCR, IDP platforms, RPA tools, NLP/LLMs, and ML concepts. Strong grasp of SDLC principles and methodologies. Ability to evaluate trade-offs between SaaS vs. on-prem, and manual vs. automated solutions. + **Communication & Collaboration:** Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to convey technical concepts. Experience working across cross-functional teams. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. + **Business Acumen & Consulting:** Understanding of business processes and project management methodologies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Continuous learning and adaptability. Experience in a Professional Services or consulting environment, leading design workshops and producing technical documentation. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical discipline. + 8+ years in Professional Services, Solution Architecture, or Consulting within Information Management, Data Services, or Automation domains. + Relevant platform certifications are a plus. + Industry certifications in relevant platforms (e.g., AI/ML, IDP, ECM, RPA, cloud architecture) are a strong plus. **Work Environment** + 100% onsite as needed, in Dallas, TX or Royersford, PA. + National and International travel as required (25%-40% of time). + US Citizenship and eligibility for US Government Security clearances required.
