**About the role:**
The Solution Design Architect is a critical leadership role responsible for translating complex client business requirements into comprehensive and actionable functional and technical solution designs for Iron Mountain Digital Solutions. This role leads the discovery, analysis, and design phases of projects, ensuring that proposed solutions are both feasible and aligned with the overall enterprise architecture and product capabilities. The Architect is pivotal in shaping solution blueprints that drive successful client implementations and maximize the value derived from Iron Mountain's digital offerings.
**Your Role in Our Mission:**
+ Lead Requirement Gathering: Conduct and facilitate in-depth requirement gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews with clients to elicit, analyze, and validate complex business needs.
+ User Story & Functional Design: Translate gathered requirements into detailed user stories, functional specifications, use cases, and other comprehensive functional design documentation.
+ Solution Blueprinting: Design and document key functional elements such as content models, workflows, user interfaces (UI/UX), data architecture, and integration patterns for Iron Mountain Digital Solutions.
+ Collaborative Design & Feasibility: Collaborate extensively with Technical Architects, Solution Architects, and product teams to ensure functional designs are technically feasible, scalable, secure, and align with overall architectural standards.
+ Statement of Work (SOW) Contribution: Actively contribute to and support the drafting of the functional and technical design sections of the Statement of Work (SOW), ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with proposed solutions and client requirements.
+ Client Relationship & Best Practices: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, managing expectations, providing guidance on best practices, and optimizing business processes in the context of digital solutions.
+ Application Configuration & Troubleshooting: Provide expertise in configuring and customizing digital solutions to meet specific business process needs, and assist with troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and resolving application issues.
+ Documentation & Standards: Develop and deliver high-quality design documents, following established standards, guidelines, processes, and documentation for all activities.
+ UAT Support: Provide assistance to customers and project teams during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring the solution meets validated requirements.
+ Continuous Learning & Compliance: Participate in required training to stay current on company platforms, functions, and industry trends, ensuring compliance with organizational and customer requirements.
+ Support and comply with all IT Governance activities.
**Preferred Experience:**
+ Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in application and product development, covering business process analysis, solution design, integration, and information management across new and legacy applications.
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or equivalent work experience.
+ Strong computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office and Google application bundle.
+ Solid understanding of content services platforms and enterprise IT architecture.
+ Proficiency with Insight or similar content services platforms, including UI, workflow, and content model development.
+ Experience with Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLM), including their integration into applications and workflows.
+ Experience with application integration, SSO, and email services.
+ Proven ability to translate client requirements into comprehensive functional design documents, flowcharts, wireframes, and data models.
+ Strong client-facing skills to lead discovery workshops, manage expectations, and provide guidance on best practices.
+ Capability to conceptualize and communicate complex application designs based on client input and technical constraints.
+ Familiarity with tools like Smartsheets, Jira, ServiceNow, GitHub, Visio, and Lucidchart.
+ Understanding of agile development methodologies.
+ Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

**Special Requirements:**
+ Hybrid/Virtual/Remote work environment.
+ Flexibility to occasionally work across various time zones for Global Location.
+ Occasionally needs to Travel (Between 15%-25% for high complex projects).
