In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backend, frontend and APIs for enterprise-grade e-commerce platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, architects, and business analysts, to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions that meet our clients' needs. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain backend solutions using enterprise grade commerce engines, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability. * Design and implement APIs and integrations with third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, ERP, and CRM). * Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and technical workshops with stakeholders. * Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices. * Perform unit testing and assist in debugging and troubleshooting issues. * Optimise backend processes for performance and scalability. * Stay updated on commerce platforms and features and industry trends to drive innovation. **Required technical and professional expertise** Technical Skills * Strong proficiency in backend development with and javascript and typescript (node.js, angular/react) technologies. * Hands-on experience with commercetools and other modern headless customer engagement and e-commerce platforms. * Strong understanding of MACH architecture principles and their application customer experience. * Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, experience with GraphQL * Experience integrating with third-party systems (e.g., payment processors, logistics providers, enterprise-resource planning systems, …). * Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. * Knowledge of java is a plus * Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling. Soft Skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. * Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt to changing requirements.
