We have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Temporary Photography Instructor located at our campus in Menifee, CA. Mt. San Jacinto Community College District seeks a Full Time Temporary Photography Instructor to teach and develop courses in Photography. The ideal candidate is student-oriented in their approach and dedicated to student success and will be skilled in generating student engagement in learning and will create welcoming learning environments that are equity-based and culturally affirming. Full-time faculty are typically assigned 15 lecture hours (or the equivalent in laboratory, studio or related activities) of student contact time per week. Office hours are also required. Faculty are expected to participate in college governance through Academic Senate appointments to standing councils, committees, and/or a variety of task forces. Teaching assignments may include a mixture of day, evening, multi-campus, off-campus, and online classes. This recruitment is for a full-time temporary assignment for the Academic Year 2025/2026 (August 8, 2025 – May 21, 2026)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A Master's degree in photography, fine arts, or art; (attach transcripts) OR 2. A Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND A Master's in art history or humanities; (attach transcripts) OR 3. The equivalent; AND 4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph*** DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Demonstrated ability to teach a variety of industry-guided digital photography courses 2. Demonstrated commitment to diverse and culturally relevant teaching methods aimed at supporting a variety of learning styles, particularly as applied to the learning of photography 3. Evidence of working effectively and respectively within a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff 4. Knowledge of transfer pathways and curriculum development that support student success and educational goals 5. Demonstrated commitment to current industry best-practices and trends
