Position Overview
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologists to join a school-based team. In this role, you will perform comprehensive student evaluations, deliver high-quality therapy services, and document care in accordance with individual plans of care and physician directives. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults with complex communication needs.
You will work with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, and co-occurring mental health disorders. This position requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to implement behavior and educational plans with precision.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide direct clinical speech-language pathology services to students.
+ Manage treatment programs through direct therapy, data tracking, and consultative services.
+ Conduct thorough evaluations upon admission and prepare discharge summaries when needed.
+ Implement Behavior Support Plans accurately and consistently.
+ Collect data with precision and apply strong problem-solving skills in daily interactions.
+ Execute IEP objectives to promote student growth and independence.
+ Collaborate with Curriculum and Educational Coordinators to develop and submit baseline data sheets.
+ Work with highly technical clinical and teaching programs requiring attentiveness and readiness to respond to student needs.
Minimum Requirements
+ Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment (Massachusetts).
+ Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved Educational Services Board program.
+ Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred and may be required by contract/state).
+ Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts.
+ Experience with augmentative communication and dysphagia.
+ Training or background working with individuals who are Developmentally Delayed, Emotionally/Behaviorally Disturbed, Cognitively Challenged, Autistic, or Brain Injured.
+ Experience with augmentative and manual communication.
+ CPR certification, if applicable.
+ Compliance with all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
