Full Time Security Officer - Branson Convention Center

The full-time Security Officer at the Branson Convention Center, a Legends/ASM Global managed facility, plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of all guests, staff, and property by monitoring and patrolling the facility. Under the direction of the Security Supervisors, the Security Officer serves as a first responder, problem solver, and customer service representative for the venue.

Responsibilities

Monitor security camera and parking systems as well as maintaining active coverage of the Command OfficeConduct routine patrols of the facility to ensure a safe and secure environment for patrons, staff, vendors, and event participantsMonitor crowd behavior and intervene in disturbances or unsafe situations in a calm and professional mannerPromptly respond to emergencies, alarms, or incidents in accordance with venue policies, and escalate to management or law enforcement when appropriateComplete detailed and accurate incident reports; participate in post-incident reviews with managementInspect doors, windows, gates, stairs, escalators, parking lots, parking garages, and other safety systems to ensure proper function and facility securityAssist with access control, crowd management, and building lockdown or evacuation procedures as neededMaintain logs of key distribution, equipment usage, and shipping/receiving documentationDeliver exceptional customer service while interacting professionally with clients, guests, employees, and exhibitorsSupport event operations as needed, including serving as parking attendant, alcohol monitor, crowd control officer, or dock marshalRemain alert and proactive during all shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and irregular hoursPerform additional duties and special assignments as required to support facility safety and operations

Qualifications

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferredFamiliarity with security protocols in a venue, event, or public assembly environment is a plusStrong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills with the ability to stay composed in high-pressure situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow directions and relay information clearlyBasic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office; ability to use standard office equipment and two-way radiosPhysically able to patrol on foot for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and respond quickly to emergencies; must be comfortable working in varying noise levels and environmentsAbility to work independently and make sound decisions using good judgment and situational awarenessFlexible, dependable, and adaptable to changing needs, schedules, and prioritiesTeam-oriented with a professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphereMust hold or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and Trained Crowd Manager (TCM) trainingMust be legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
