Siemens Digital Industry Software is looking for a talented Full Stack Web Developer to be part of the team building the next generation web experiences for our external customers.
In this role you will help build the platform for delivering Siemen’s 3D graphics and collaboration software through our .com sites. You will leverage the latest web development tools & techniques, AWS cloud infrastructure, and devops practices to provide world class websites and services.
You will be involved in all aspects of delivery including writing Javascript/HTML/CSS, developing infrastructure as code through Cloud Formation scripts, implementing automated builds and CI/CD, developing automation test scripts, writing API micro services using NodeJS and ExpressJS, leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work with the latest technologies to deliver amazing web applications.
You will work in an open collaborative environment as part of a larger Digital Platform team responsible for delivering a suite of customer facing applications. You will have the ability to immediately make an impact and ship your code contributions to production.
You will be expected to contribute ideas, concepts, best practices, code reviews, and code development to deliver high quality software on tight timelines in a fast-paced enterprise application development environment. You should embrace the 5 pillars of well-architected cloud applications: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization.
Responsibilities:
As a Full Stack Web Developer, you will be responsible for designing and building web applications, operating the runtime environments including deployments and scripting, and writing unit tests. You should have a strong desire to build delightful web experiences for our customers.
Detailed responsibilities include:
Develop front end web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS Develop unit tests using Jest. Assist in operating the website in production including reacting monitoring alarms. Optimize solutions for operability, security, reliability, performance, and cost. Works with a Scrum team to refine requirements, peer review code, and assist other team members with solving challenges.Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another technical related field. 3+ years of professional experience in software development Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS. Experience in Single Page Application development in either React, VueJS, or Angular Experience working in a team environment using agile methodologies Knowledge of SDLC, microservices, cloud design patterns, and software architecture Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States. The salary range for this position is $87,600 to $157,700 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
