Full Stack Oracle PL/SQL Engineer (limited full-time)

What you'll do:

Design and implement Java-based back-end services using Spring Boot. Build and maintain RESTful APIs, and ensure seamless communication between front-end and back-end components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following OOP and design best practices. Work on CI/CD pipelines, and ensure smooth deployments using tools like Jenkins, Docker, Gradle, or Maven. Perform code reviews, unit testing, and participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives. Keep up with emerging technologies and advocate for continuous improvements in the development process. Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database objects such as tables, indexes, procedures, and packages. Write efficient and optimized SQL and PL/SQL code, including advanced features like analytical functions and complex data types (Records, VARRAYS, Ref cursors, etc.). Manage and maintain database schemas and structures. Perform performance tuning and benchmarking of Oracle databases using tools like AWR and ADDM. Analyze and optimize SQL queries and application performance.

 

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Java development with Spring Boot. Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs. Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI design principles. CI/CD experience using tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, Maven, or Gradle. Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Strong command of SQL and PL/SQL. Strong skills in SQL query tuning and database performance optimization, including analyzing and tuning queries on partitioning tables. Experience with analyzing and interpreting execution plans. Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in large-scale datasets. Experience in optimizing stored procedures, views, and packages to improve the database performance. Experience with Oracle VPD policies and familiarity with database multitenant architecture.
