Workplace Services Engineering is part of Schwab Technology Services and plays a critical role in how employers and participants experience workplace financial solutions. Our teams build and modernize platforms that support retirement and workplace services for millions of people, combining scale, purpose, and innovation.

As a Full Stack .NET Developer, you’ll contribute to high-impact, enterprise-scale solutions while collaborating with talented peers in a culture built on trust, inclusion, and continuous learning. What You’ll Do

Design, build, and enhance scalable full-stack applications that support critical workplace and retirement servicesModernize legacy systems to improve performance, resilience, security, and complianceDevelop and integrate APIs and foundational services that enable faster, safer partnerships and platform evolutionImprove platform stability and reliability through thoughtful design, testing, and performance tuningApply AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency, code quality, and team workflowsCollaborate closely with engineers, product partners, and stakeholders to influence technical direction and outcomesContribute to a culture of mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

What you have

Required Qualifications

6+ years of professional experience in full-stack web application development; BS/MS degree or equivalent experience.Demonstrated ability to design and develop full-stack web applications using modern development practicesProficiency in C# and .NET Core for building scalable backend servicesStrong capability with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to deliver responsive, accessible user experiencesExperience building single-page applications using modern client-side frameworks such as Angular and TypeScriptAbility to design, create, and consume RESTful APIsWorking knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including integrating backend services with data storesExperience applying unit testing practices and patterns to improve code quality and reliabilityUnderstanding of secure application design, including authentication and authorization conceptsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams

Preferred Qualifications

Experience modernizing legacy applications while maintaining stability and performanceFamiliarity with performance evaluation, tuning, and observability in distributed systemsExperience with web accessibility standards and inclusive design practicesKnowledge of Agile and Scrum-based development environmentsExposure to AI-assisted development tools and practices

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
