Full Stack Development Lead (Asset Management Technology)

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on full stack developer lead to join our Asset Management – Investment Technology team in London. This leadership role will play a critical part in modernising and supporting core investment platforms, with a focus on scalable cloud-based architecture, full stack delivery and robust engineering practices.

You will lead development across investment technology stacks, engage directly with global stakeholders across investment, operations, products and wider technology teams and help drive technology solutions that support portfolio management and trading. Exposure to ETFs and multi-asset platforms is a plus.

How you'll spend your time...

Lead and drive full stack application development using modern technologies across cloud-native and hybrid architectures Design and implement scalable and APIs with strong security, monitoring and logging frameworksDevelop rich UI components using framework such as React or AngularManage AWS based infrastructure components and CI/CD pipelines (CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS etc.)Own the production environment operations and applications. Be responsible for reviewing and approving all change before it is deployed into your production environment.Collaborate with business and product teams to shape requirements and translate them into technical specifications and delivery planMentor a team of developers across front-end, back-end and devops rolesInterface with vendors (e.g., Blackrock Aladdin, Snowflake, etc.) for issue resolution, feature enhancements and to ensure robust system integrationContinuously seek automation opportunities to improve team efficiency

To be successful in this role you will have...

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experienceExtensive software engineering experience with proven experience in a lead roleStrong command of full stack development: Javascript (React/Angular), Node.js or Java/.NET/ Python and SQL Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services (Glue, Lambda, API gateway, IAM, S3, CloudWatch etc.)CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Github Actions, Terraform or CloudFormationStrong API development and integration experienceExperience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Selenium)Proven ability to led teams and drive cross-functional delivery in a matrix environmentPrior experience working in the Asset Management, Investment Banking or Wealth ManagementKnowledge of front office platform and workflows: OMS, PMS and risk enginesExperience with ETF platforms and fund lifecycle processesFamiliarity with Snowflake, Python and event driven architecture Exposure to regulatory reporting, ESG data pipelines or performance attribution systems
