Full Stack Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role involves developing advanced full-stack engineering tools for applications in aerospace engineering while providing technical leadership in software engineering, UX design, and software architecture. The ideal candidate will drive projects from inception to completion, collaborating closely with others on the engineering development team to create in-house web applications for engineering design.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop advanced full-stack engineering tools for applications in aerospace engineering.Provide technical leadership in software engineering, UX design, and software architecture.Drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery of applications.Build web front-end using technologies such as React, JQuery, and Dash.Develop backend applications using Python frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.Contribute to UI/UX design to enhance user experience.Deploy tools with a strong background in Linux.Develop full-stack web-based applications including front-end interfaces, database deployment (SQL and NoSQL), and backend API development.Implement modern front-end development with HTML5, React, Vue.js, JQuery, Bootstrap, and Dash.Engage in data modeling experience and implementation with Pydantic.Develop for cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure) using Infrastructure-as-Code.Participate in professional software development using revision management systems like Git or SVN.Build DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines in systems like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.Familiarity with Agile project management and software development methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.2+ years of experience in developing in-house web applications.Front End Development experience with React, JQuery, and Dash.Expert level skill in Python.Python Backend development experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.Strong background in Linux for tool deployment.Additional Skills & QualificationsUX Design experience.Advanced experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.Experience deploying and maintaining software in a production environment.Data modeling experience and implementation with Pydantic.Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure) using Infrastructure-as-Code.Experience in Docker or Kubernetes is desirable.Knowledge of Python testing frameworks such as pytest.Experience with revision management systems like Git or SVN.Experience building DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.Work Environment

This role requires working onsite five days a week, with core working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. The team is split between Montreal and Toronto, consisting of 18 members. The work environment is collaborative and focused on cutting-edge technology development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
