ICF is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, multi-faceted consulting company, seeking a Full Stack Developer.  This developer will help re-design and build a new website for government agency committed to improving child welfare.  The ICF team performs custom software development and maintenance on a suite of web-based applications, and works closely with clients and other contractors to ensure the performance and reliability of public-facing, mission-critical applications.

Based on your experiences and interests, we may ask you as a technology professional to support growth-related activities, including (but not limited to) RFI, RFP, prototypes, and oral presentations. Team members are also expected to uphold and maintain appropriate certifications necessary for their practice expertise. 

Job Location: This is a fully remote position; however, the role is tied to the Washington, DC Metro area due to team requirements. Occasional in-person meetings may be required. An in-person interview will be required and candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Washington, DC Metro Area to be considered.

Work in an Agile team with clients to build websites and applicationsBuild interactive and responsive web applicationsImplementing cloud native architectureBuild multi-agentic RAG based AI tools.Design and build for performance and accessibilityAbility to work with Gitlab and knowledge of deploying CI/CD pipelines.Implement the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) pattern libraryWork across the modernization team to integrate related workflow and library systems

What you must have:

Bachelor’s Degree5+ years of software development experience – including experience with Python and Elasticsearch5+ years of professional front end development experience including the use of JavaScript frameworks calling REST API endpoints2+ years of experience with website migration2+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and Web Standards, JavaScript libraries and linters, browser developer tools and git, building responsive web interfaces (RWD), WCAG guidelines, Web Accessibility, and 508 compliance development practicesUS Citizenship required due to federal contract requirementsMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public TrustMUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply​Knowledgeable of AWS cloud services – AWS Certifications are a plus

What we'd like you to have:

Experience implementing pattern libraries, with a strong preference for the USWDS.Familiarity with Content Management systems is a plusKnowledge with library management systems is a plusExperience with LLM application development including emerging architectures such as multi-agent, tool calling, and RAG.Skilled in working within cloud development environments and KubernetesProficiency programming languages, like Python or Node.js, with experience in building APIs and scalable server-side applications.Strong knowledge of front-end scripting languages, such as JavaScript, and modern frameworks like ReactStrong communication skills, with the ability to discuss projects and processes clearly and professionallyCapable of working independently, with versatility being highly valued

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$98,124.00 - $166,810.00
