You'll have…

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.  3 years of experience with the following skill is required: 1. Java or Python programming to build large scalable data pipelines or data products.  2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Real time streaming including Kafka or pub/sub. 2. Support building data pipeline using one of the following Databases: MSSQL, SQL Server, PGSQL, or BigQuery.  1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Agile Methodology. 2. Connected vehicle data management or similar large data.

We are offering a salary of $138,486.00 - $176,800.08/yr.

What you’ll be able to do: 

Full Stack Data Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI.  Develop scalable big data pipeline solutions in the Ford GCP Data Factory. Advanced knowledge of the GCP ecosystem with a focus on Big Query and Dataflow. Design and code Big Query to ingest data collections. Analyze user needs to determine how software should be built or if existing software should be modified. Participate in design, delivery estimates and code reviews. Develop and/or perform software automated testing procedures, solutions, and frameworks to ensure software functions as needed. Translate business requirements and specifications into usable and scalable software. Process and understand capabilities and limitations of data outputs from the software. Determine and execute the software deployment process and troubleshoot performance issues. Develop data quality and validation routines. Build distributed reliable and scalable data pipelines to ingest and process data in real-time and other unstructured data. Build data model, data flow diagrams, design test cases, and own development tasks for assigned products. Generate code artifacts and user version control such as Github.
