Full Stack .NET /React Software Engineer

Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO​
We are seeking an experienced Full stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at H&M. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise across the full Software Development Life Cycle from requirements gathering and system design to development and deployment. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers and key stakeholders from Product Development, Engineering, and multiple Value Streams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

As part of the Centre of Excellence for Engineering, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to various product teams, shaping the future of digital experiences at H&M through innovative, customer-centric technology.

In addition to the above, your role will involve:  

Design, develop, and implement software solutions aligned with project goals and quality standards. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and appropriate software design patterns. Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for software projects. Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software meets functional and performance expectations. Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback and enhance code quality. Work closely with team members to resolve technical issues and optimize application performance. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions and improvements. Contribute to the documentation of software designs, technical specifications, and user manuals. Operate effectively in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, estimation, and other team activities. 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH​

You’ll be joining the Delivery Management Services (DMS) team, part of the Distribute component area within the Product and Move unit at H&M. The DMS team plays a key role in enabling delivery capabilities across our online e-commerce ecosystem for H&M and Portfolio brands. We develop and maintain services that support customer promise delivery, optimize delivery offers, integrate with carrier brokers and carriers for both deliveries and returns, and provide shipment tracking and tracing. As a team, we’re passionate about building scalable, customer-focused solutions that enhance the end-to-end delivery experience.

WHO YOU ARE​

At least 5 years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET, Web APIs, and microservices architecture, with a strong foundation in backend development.Solid frontend development skills using React.js, Webpack, and modern JavaScript frameworks and tools.Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests using frameworks like NUnit/xUnit for .NET and Jest/React Testing Library for React, including experience with mocking tools.Working knowledge of Azure services, such as App Services, Azure Functions, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Service Bus, AKS, AppInsights, and Application Gateways.Experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and implementing Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform or Bicep.A solid understanding of application and cloud security best practices.Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and methodologies, ensuring high-quality and reliable software delivery.Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk.
