Tammy Power, Recruiting Manager with Robert Half looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our client's team on a part-time basis in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive bookkeeping tasks for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial records. This position is ideal for individuals who excel at multitasking and have a strong background in bookkeeping and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:
• Handle full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations using QuickBooks.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and track expenses to maintain proper financial documentation.
• Perform month-end closings and ensure all accounts are reconciled and balanced.
• Manage multi-entity accounting setups and provide support for audits and compliance reviews.
• Generate custom financial reports tailored to client needs and assist with tax preparation.
• Collaborate with clients to maintain clear communication and provide updates on financial matters.
• Ensure records are audit-ready and meet all regulatory requirements.
• Provide advisory services to small businesses and service firms as needed.
• Maintain organized and efficient workflows to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly.
Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, with advanced QuickBooks skills (both Desktop and Online versions).
• Associate's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven ability to handle diverse client portfolios, including small businesses and service firms.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and collaboration.
• Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance requirements.
