Description We are looking for a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Rancho Dominguez, California. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and expertise in managing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliations. As part of a dynamic manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This is a long-term contract position offering stability and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Administer full-cycle payroll processing using QuickBooks Desktop, ensuring accurate job costing and proper allocation of labor expenses to general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, payroll transactions, and expense adjustments in compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheets to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage vendor payments and oversee accounts payable functions, including invoice entry, resolving discrepancies, and reconciling statements.
• Conduct detailed reviews of payroll and financial data to identify and resolve mapping errors, enhancing reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with leadership and accounting teams to improve internal controls and streamline financial processes.
• Provide training and guidance to accounting clerks on procedures such as expense tracking, credit card reconciliation, and payroll entries.
• Support the preparation of financial reports by ensuring accurate data and timely submissions.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and company policies in all financial operations. Requirements • Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop for payroll and accounting functions.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately and efficiently.
• Skilled in analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Familiarity with general ledger management and financial reporting requirements.
