Description
We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee comprehensive bookkeeping functions and ensure the accurate management of financial records within a construction firm. This position also requires involvement in insurance coordination and select human resources tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of full charge bookkeeping, including maintaining accurate financial records within the construction industry.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize QuickBooks to track transactions, generate reports, and maintain financial data.
• Handle construction accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and practices.
• Coordinate and manage insurance-related matters for the company.
• Assist with select human resources responsibilities, including employee documentation and compliance.
• Prepare financial reports and statements to support business decision-making.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial transactions and generating reports.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with construction accounting practices and industry-specific financial management.
• Ability to handle insurance coordination and basic HR responsibilities.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage various financial tasks.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
