The incumbent is responsible for efficiently managing and optimizing fuel resources to ensure cost-effectiveness, compliance with environmental regulations, and optimal operational performance. This role involves monitoring fuel consumption, implementing conservation strategies, and collaborating with various departments to achieve organizational fuel efficiency goals and support of the DRMO processes.
Essential Duties & Job Functions\:§ Performs base-level fuels accounting and ensures students can perform mission critical duties associated with day-to-day inventory management of DLA Energy Fuel account.
§ Order and Receive Fuel
§ Performs tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort involving handling of hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.

§ May be required to operate machinery such as forklifts and light duty trucks.

§ Adhere to established Company Safety Policies and Mandated Environmental Compliance

§ Submit monthly and annual fuel reports per DLA policy
§ Fuel and Fuel systems vendor management.
§ Schedule, pickup and inventory DRMO as required.

• Manage and input fuel sales and fuel receipts and be accountable for errors and discrepancies.
• Manage and maintain fuel stations keeping in contact with base engineers to make repairs.
• Manage and store all records in accordance with DLA policy.
• Follow all directives in a timely manner with DLA resolution specialist.
• Manage all Veeder-root systems in accordance with DLA policy.
• Maintain Tank accuracy in accordance with DLA policy.
• Ballance ledgers monthly and complete all Determines in compliance with DLA policy.
• Process all tuck sales daily and verify accuracy of sales, maintain truck fuel levels daily in operate.
• Manage, update, and distribute all EPOS QR codes for NBK and NAVMAG II and answer questions regarding new and current codes in accordance with DLA policy.
• Work with RO (responsible officer) daily to complete a required paperwork needing signing authority, in compliance with DLA policy.
• Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
• Must maintain current certification in Base Level Defense Fuels Management Course (DLA Energy-OF-J-03) Certification as Primary Fuels Accountant, Records Keeper, and Terminal Manager.
• Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
• Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.

• Successful completion of DLA required courses to fulfill this position, must enroll in course within 30 days of hire and complete and pass course within 90 days of hire. Company will pay for trainings or recertifications for DLA required Fuel courses, including Terminal Manager Training to include time required to complete training and travel (if required and approved) in accordance with Company Policies.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and fuel conservation best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with fuel management software and technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work such as standing, stooping or kneeling and/or wearing complete containment suits for extended periods of time.
