As part of a team, you will be surrounded by bright minds and keen co-creators—always willing to help and be helped—as you apply passion to work that will positively impact the world around us. **Your role and responsibilities** As a Solution Architect you'll be a pivotal team member who connects the client's technical functional and implementation requirements with a solution design and proposal for payments such as check processing, digital payments, RTP, Zelle, TCH, NACHA, Swift, etc. You'll work closely with clients and sellers to build solutions based on the meeting the client's business outcomes and known best practices for the technology and industry. In this fast-paced role, you'll design, and construct build work breakdown structure leading to the rough order of magnitude leading to the price and statement of work. A successful Solution Architect will demonstrate a natural bias towards self-motivation and navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions that ensure world class delivery. To help achieve this win-win outcome, a 'day-in-the-life' of this opportunity may include, but not be limited to… •End-to-End Technical Guidance: Providing expert end-to-end technical guidance to lead discovery discussions with prospective clients, assess architecture needs for payment related projects, work with technical leads and sellers to create proposals. •Finding the Best Architectural Outcomes: Leading client workshops around payments; influencing client stakeholders at all levels to find the best architectural outcomes that align to business and technology payment strategies and initiatives into actionable roadmaps with clear direction on execution to ensure business value and ROI. •Maintaining Solution Review Boards: Developing and contributing to the payment solution review boards for proposals including oversight for technology assurance, quality and risk evaluation •Building Successful Relationships: Establishing and maintaining personal relationship at all levels - from engineers to CIOs - with experience of navigating challenging debate to reach healthy resolutions. **Required technical and professional expertise** Experience: * Languages: Java, ESQL, XML, XSD, XSTL * Integrated Development Tools: ATOM, RAD, Eclipse, Visual Studio, XCode & Android Studio * Operating Systems: UNIX, AIX, Linux, RedHat OpenShift Workflow Orchestration & Transformation platforms: IBM FTM, IBM App Connect, HCL Transformation Extender, etc. * Middleware & Security: IBM WebSphere, IBM Liberty, Weblogic, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, VISIBroker, IBM MQ, Active MQ, Open SAML, Microsoft Active Directory, Lotus Domino LDAP, Entrust Truepass * Products: IBM FTM, Sterling MFT, IBM Infosphere CDC, PEG * Cloud Providers: IBM, AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle **Preferred technical and professional experience** * This role performs direct customer services in support of SOA-based and cloud-based Payments Integration systems. The duties of this role will include design and implementation of solutions based on customer requirements relating to Payment’s processing using products in the IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) family. * The candidate should have strong experience in designing, implementing, and integrating applications for financial messaging ideally based on IBM's FTM product family. Experience with an EAI, Message Hub, SOA and/or Microservices environment is also beneficial. The candidate should have 5+ years’ experience in one of these areas. * The candidate should be skilled with IBM App Connect Enterprise Services and Liberty and be fluent in Java development and Financial Messaging. * The candidate should have at least 5+ years of experience in DevOps pipeline development in legacy WebSphere environments and private or public cloud environments. The candidate should have multiple years of experience in development and deploying of containerized, cloud-based, applications in private or public cloud environments, experience with OpenShift is desired. * The candidate may also be required to participate in pre-sales activities for current and potential IBM Clients and help cultivate the trusted relationship IBM seeks with all customers IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
