Summary: The FSQA Technician will support components of protecting safety, quality, and legality of food products being manufactured at the plant level are properly monitored and documented. This role will support the FSQA Manager with implementation of the Quality Management Program (QMP) at the primary processing level. Conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of production processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties:
Note: FSQA Technician residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of fifteen dollars per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with internal standards, customer specifications and international, federal and state regulations.Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards and company policies and procedures.Records test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities and quantities inspected or graded.Applies proper acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.Audits production facility and reviews employee behavior for proper sanitation.Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to Production/QA Management.Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to production.Maintains a working knowledge of company, government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.At some locations: May perform weekly pest control and document findings.Serves as the facility resource for all regulatory functions.Proficient in testing methodology, theory and interpretation relating to various lab and scientific disciplines. Identifies work related problems and recommends effective solutions as appropriate.Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.Employees working in Alaska are advised to have medical insurance coverage which is valid in the State of Alaska.
