Summary: The Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties.
This position may require additional hours and rotating between shifts based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plans and assigns work of subordinates.
Develops and/or adapts inspection equipment to meet quality control standards, makes suggestions with regard to procedures, standards and equipment to facilitate work and maintain product quality.
Analyzes facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.
Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
Investigates and determines cause of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.
Keeps manager abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
Maintains discipline, morale, and harmonious relations among subordinates.
Investigates and adjusts personnel problems within area of responsibility. Effectively recommends as to hiring, promotions, wage adjustments and terminations.
Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
All other duties as assigned.
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $28 to $34 per hour.
