Frozen Food Supervisor
Position Summary

The Frozen Manager is responsible for leading all operations within the frozen foods department, ensuring strong in‑stock conditions, proper temperature control, effective merchandising, and excellent customer service. This role manages department associates, inventory, labor, and performance while maintaining food safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations Direct daily frozen department operations to ensure all cases, doors, and displays are fully stocked and customer‑ready Manage ordering, receiving, inventory control, and proper rotation of frozen products Ensure freezers maintain required temperatures and safe product handling standards Maintain clean, organized freezer and backroom areas Merchandising & Standards Execute merchandising plans, seasonal sets, and promotional programs Ensure accurate pricing, signage, facing, and display standards Monitor dates, damages, and shrink to minimize department losses Customer Service Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers with product inquiries Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting department environment Team Leadership & Development Hire, train, coach, and develop frozen department associates Create schedules that align labor to workload and sales volume Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and reinforce accountability Promote teamwork, engagement, and a positive work culture Sales & Performance Drive sales through strong execution, merchandising, and in‑stock performance Monitor department performance including sales, shrink, and labor results Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies Enforce proper lifting techniques, equipment use, and freezer safety practices Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas Qualifications Previous grocery or food department leadership experience preferred Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and food safety standards Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills Ability to work in cold environments and perform physical tasks including lifting and extended standing Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Core Competencies Leadership and accountability Operational execution Organization and attention to detail Time management and productivity Customer‑focused mindset
