Frozen Food Manager
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Experience & Sales

Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly service. Assist customers with product suggestions and solutions. Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques via: Telephone In‑store intercom announcements One‑on‑one customer interactions Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately; resolve customer complaints and escalate to the Store Director as needed.

Merchandising, Display & Pricing

Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays. Ensure merchandise is correctly priced, faced, and displayed; keep shelves clean and properly maintained. Enforce proper code dating for all products within the department.

Inventory Control & Stocking

Control inventory to ensure adequate quantity, quality, and freshness; maintain levels per division directives. Stock and rotate product to maintain freshness. May assist in other areas of the Grocery Department as needed. May assist with physical inventory (every 6 months). Control shrink and costs through disciplined processes.

Receiving & Back Room Operations

Perform receiving duties: Break down loads and verify orders using invoices. Inspect product quality; report shortages. Stock and rotate product per guidelines. Adhere to product temperature and storage requirements; follow proper packaging techniques. Supervise processing of reclamation and maintain orderly, in‑stock conditions in the back room and all Frozen Food Department areas.

Product Preparation, Equipment & Tools

Implement correct product preparation techniques. Safely use and operate department equipment and tools, including: Pallet jack, hand truck, scissors, knives, safety cutters Sterilox machine (or similar sanitizing equipment)

Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

Ensure compliance with retail labeling laws, federal and state regulations, Company policies, and code‑dating standards. Maintain working knowledge of Company policies and guidelines (per the Albertsons/Tom Thumb Employee Handbook). Follow and maintain all departmental standards and requirements.

Safety, Cleanliness & Sanitation

Comply with all workplace safety rules and regulations. Ensure safety, cleanliness, and sanitation of: Work area and display area Cooler and equipment Code date compliance as required Implement emergency procedures in the event of equipment or computer software malfunctions.

Systems & Ordering

Operate computer software and electronic ordering devices to order product and manage workflow.

Administrative & Recordkeeping

Process administrative paperwork; maintain accurate department records. Accurately complete, maintain, and monitor: Daily log sheets Sales and labor reports Other required paperwork and logs

Comply with and ensure compliance with Company grooming standards and dress code. Perform all job duties with honesty and integrity.
