Leads team members in the production of machine parts, assignments, and specific tasks for the department. This position has responsibilities in administration, production, machine and process set-up, workflow, work scheduling, work assignments, machining, troubleshooting, cutting tool geometry, mechanical inspection, CNC programming, and tool ordering.
What You Will Do:
MUST HAVE PRIOR MACHINING EXPERIENCEMaintains organized and accurate records for the department.Assigns tasks to other workers on 1st & 2nd shifts, based on workflow and associate skill level.Assists the facilitator in various departmental duties.Maintains a daily record of production, scrap, and rework.Assist workers in performance of duties to solve work problems.Ensures associates comply with standards and safety rules.Trains employees on various machining, inspection, and maintenance techniques.Programs and edits CNC programs if applicable.Perform production work of any station as needed.Ensure hot expedite orders are completed in a timely manner.Operate high production equipment.Change or adjust machine tooling to maintain specific quality levels.Change and/or adjust tooling and make offset changes on CNC equipment.Clean and perform preventative maintenance as needed in order to maintain the equipment I optimum operating condition at all times.Perform twisting, bending, reaching and forceful repetitive motions that require the use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, waist, legs and neck to lift parts from metal pans.Place parts on machine holding devices and remove them after they have been machined/polished.Operate computer-controlled equipment throughout the shift.Lift up to 40 pounds from floor to waist level throughout the shift.Stand on concrete floors for 8 hours every day.Ability to work in a noisy, dirty environment.What You Need to Succeed:
Knowledge of Primus keys and plugs is helpful but not required.Knowledge of key and/or plug manufacturing equipment or general metal machining equipment required.Certified to train and perform successfully at all area stations.Understanding of Oracle, Access, and Excel screens and transactions helpful.The ability to use word-processing applications is beneficial.Available to perform overtime when required.Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Must have good listening skills and the ability to work effectively with team members.Must possess basic math and reading skills.Understands written and spoken English.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
