Newly opened, Andaz Lisbon is an exciting luxury lifestyle hotel in the Portuguese capital and represents a key milestone in Hyatt’s continued brand growth in Southern Europe. Andaz Lisbon is the second Hyatt branded hotel in Lisbon.
Located in the heart of Lisbon’s vibrant Baixa district, along the city’s main pedestrian street, Rua Augusta, the hotel is spread across five distinct buildings, including the former headquarters of one of Portugal’s major banks, Banco Português de Investimento (BPI).
The central building houses 170 guestrooms, while the four surrounding satellite buildings offer a selection of exclusive private suites. As a unique Urban Resort in the city center, Andaz Lisbon invites guests to fully immerse themselves in the local culture and experience the true essence of Lisbon.
We are looking for a Receptionist/Host to join our Front Office team! This role is responsible for welcoming and assisting guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient front desk operation, and delivering a personalized, high-quality guest experience in line with the standards of a luxury lifestyle hotel.
**Main Responsibilities:**
· Warmly welcome guests with courtesy, professionalism, and personalized attention.
· Perform check‑in and check‑out processes with speed, accuracy, and clear communication.
· Manage reservations, inquiries, and cancellations using the hotel management system (Opera Cloud).
· Provide detailed information about hotel services, local attractions, and events.
· Handle phone calls, emails, and guest requests, ensuring proper follow‑up.
· Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and empathetically.
· Maintain accurate records and ensure data confidentiality.
· Collaborate with other departments to guarantee guest comfort and satisfaction.
· Ensure the reception area remains tidy and elegant, reflecting the lifestyle concept of the hotel.
· Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on protocols and service improvements.
**Qualifications:**
· Previous experience of at least one year in a luxury hotel or a similar environment will be considered an advantage
· Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
· High level of cultural awareness and a strong focus on customer service
· Proven experience in customer-facing roles and the ability to remain effective under pressure
· Guest-oriented mindset with an understanding of the importance of anticipating guest preferences
· Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize daily responsibilities efficiently
· Experience working collaboratively within a team and building positive working relationships
· Comfortable using computer systems, including Opera Cloud and other relevant platforms
· Fluency in English and Portuguese; additional languages are an advantage.
