**Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni** is undergoing a multi-million-dollar redesign to elevate our guestrooms, residential-style lobby, public spaces, and spa, and will **transition to the Park Hyatt brand in 2026** .
Our beautiful property is seeking a dedicated, experienced, customer service oriented professional to join the Rooms division as **Front Office Manager** .
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Front Office Manager (FOM) leads a diverse team including Assistant FOMs, Front Desk Hosts, Guest Service Agents, and Switchboard Operators. You will lead all front-of-house operations to ensure, luxury-level guest service, managing staff, and maintaining high service standards. A high-end service-oriented mindset. As a high-visibility leader, you will model exceptional communication skills, responding swiftly to guest feedback and complaints with the grace and urgency required to guarantee total satisfaction.
**Salary range: 82,000 - 87,000**
**key responsibilitites**
**Core Responsibilities:**
· **Strategic Management** : Lead short- and long-term planning for Front Office operations, ensuring alignment with overall hotel goals.
· **Financial Oversight** : Develop and recommend budgets and labor cost plans; diligently manage operations within approved financial parameters.
· **Inventory & Revenue** : Optimize guest room inventory and maintain real-time knowledge of rates, packages, and promotions to maximize revenue.
· **Service Excellence** : Ensure a continuous emphasis and focus on luxury service standards, particularly aligned with FORBES Travel Guide, Michelin Key, and AAA designations.
· **Operational Integrity** : Ensure strict adherence to cash handling, security protocols, and safety standards; participate actively in the Health & Safety committee.
**People & Culture:**
· **Hyatt Brand Ambassadorship** : Coach and counsel colleagues to embody Hyatt Service Standards and the "Care" philosophy.
· **Engagement & Development** : Drive positive Employee Engagement scores by creating reward programs and fostering a culture of professional camaraderie.
· **Accountability** : Establish clear expectations and manage processes, holding the team accountable for agreed-upon timelines and service goals.
· **Inclusion & Community** : Lead by example through active participation in the hotel’s DE&I initiatives and community events.
**Collaboration:**
· **Cross-Functional Communication** : Maintain seamless coordination with Housekeeping and external contracted partners to ensure operational flow.
· **Hands-on Leadership** : Remain "floor-ready" to perform Front Office tasks alongside the team during peak periods to facilitate exceptional service.

**Qualifications**
· Minimum 4 years of progressive Rooms Management experience, with at least 2 years in a senior management capacity.
· Proven experience with hotel openings or major brand transitions is highly preferred.
· Proficiency in using hotel applications
· Fluency in a second language is a distinct advantage.
· An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to inspire and mobilize diverse teams toward excellence.
· Adaptable to a schedule that reflects the needs of a 24/7 luxury operation, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
