Job Description

The Front Desk Receptionist provides professional, welcoming, and efficient administrative support at the office reception area. This role focuses on greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, coordinating meeting rooms and catering, and ensuring front-of-house spaces and office supplies remain organized and well stocked. The position is a full-time, on-site assignment for approximately two months with the possibility of extension.

ResponsibilitiesGreet visitors in a professional and friendly manner and ensure they receive timely assistance.Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate contacts or departments.Provide consistent front desk coverage during business hours and serve as the primary point of contact for walk-in guests.Manage room reservations and meeting room calendars to ensure efficient use of space.Coordinate room setup for meetings and events, ensuring required equipment and seating arrangements are in place.Order and coordinate catering for meetings and events as requested.Monitor, manage, and restock pantry supplies to maintain a clean and well-supplied break area.Manage inventory and stocking of general office and front desk supplies.Coordinate guest access, including visitor sign-in procedures and security protocols as required.Escort guests to conference rooms or other designated areas within the office.Provide general administrative support to the department or office, including basic clerical tasks and support for internal staff as needed.Maintain a neat, organized, and professional reception area at all times.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a Receptionist or front desk role.High school diploma or GED.Strong front desk and customer service skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Proven ability to provide reliable administrative support in a busy office environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks such as calls, visitors, and room bookings simultaneously.Attention to detail when coordinating meetings, room setups, and catering.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in an office or corporate environment providing front-of-house support.Comfort using office technology and tools associated with meeting room scheduling and visitor management.Ability to build positive relationships with internal staff, vendors, and visitors.Flexibility to support additional administrative tasks as business needs arise.Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site role based in an office facility in Houston, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Front Desk Receptionist works primarily at the reception area and in common spaces such as conference rooms and pantry areas. The environment is professional and service-oriented, requiring a polished and presentable appearance appropriate for a corporate front desk. The role involves regular use of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office software, frequent interaction with visitors and employees, and coordination of meeting rooms, catering, and office supplies. The assignment is expected to last approximately two months, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
