Description
We are looking for a dedicated and resourceful Front Desk Coordinator to join a neurosurgery office in Los Angeles, California. This contract position involves working closely with a board-certified neurosurgeon and a skilled clinical team to ensure seamless administrative operations and patient support. If you excel in multitasking, have strong organizational skills, and possess a compassionate approach to patient care, this role is an excellent opportunity to thrive in a dynamic medical environment. MUST BE Bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities:
• Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and medical procedures efficiently.
• Act as a liaison between patients, the neurosurgeon, and other healthcare providers to facilitate clear communication.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with organizational standards.
• Verify insurance coverage, handle authorization processes, and assist patients with billing inquiries.
• Oversee clinic operations, including managing supplies, preparing exam rooms, and organizing the provider’s daily calendar.
• Provide administrative support to the neurosurgery team, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Utilize electronic medical records and relevant software to manage clinic documentation and operations.
Requirements • At least two years of experience in administrative or medical office roles, preferably in a specialty clinic.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion and professionalism.
• Experience with multi-line phone systems and concierge-style customer service.
