Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Pay: $20 - $21 per hour

Job Description

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient office operations. The role involves answering and directing incoming calls, performing general clerical duties, entering customer orders accurately, and maintaining document control. The Administrative Assistant serves as a liaison between the office and production teams, assists with scheduling and logistics-related tasks, and supports onboarding of new employees.

ResponsibilitiesAnswer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, and document organization.Enter customer orders accurately into the system and assist with order tracking and updates.Maintain document control and ensure records are up-to-date, organized, and accessible.Provide administrative support to office staff and assist with special projects as needed.Serve as a liaison between the office and production teams to help resolve operational issues.Assist with scheduling, data entry, and logistics-related tasks.Monitor and order office supplies, ensuring inventory is maintained.Prepare and distribute internal communications, reports, and memos.Support onboarding of new employees by preparing documentation and coordinating training materials.Assist with invoice processing, purchase orders, and basic accounting tasks.Maintain a clean and organized office environment.Help coordinate meetings, take meeting notes, and follow up on action items.Provide backup support for customer service and logistics functions during absences or peak periods.Respond to internal and external inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.Essential Skills1-3 years of administrative skills.Experience in data entry, customer service, and clerical work.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Front desk and calendar management experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or administrative certification is a plus.2+ years of administrative or office support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Team-oriented with a proactive and flexible attitude.Work Environment

The position requires working Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm in a manufacturing concrete environment. The role is 100% office-based, supporting operations in a dynamic and sometimes challenging setting, which requires thick skin. The environment may be dirty, and the ability to adapt and maintain professionalism is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
