An affordable and inviting option among Santa Rosa, California hotels, Sandman is located just off US-101, mere minutes from the area’s best wineries and breweries, dining, outdoor activities and downtown businesses. Overview The Front Desk Agent is the face of the Sandman Hotel and is responsible for providing exceptional guest service from the moment guests arrive until they depart. This role requires a professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor and a commitment to ensuring a memorable guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests promptly and professionally. Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and payment processing accurately. Respond to guest requests, concerns, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner. Provide guests with hotel information, directions, and recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. Answer and manage phone calls and guest inquiries. Maintain accurate records and complete administrative tasks, such as updating guest profiles, confirming reservations, and guest requests. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrival. Promote and upsell hotel services, amenities, and special packages. Ensure the front desk and lobby area are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times. Follow all safety and security policies and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or front desk is an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve guest issues effectively. Proficient in computer systems and hotel management software (experience with Opera or similar preferred). Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Professional appearance and demeanor. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $18.00/Hr. - $20.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
