Job Summary: Dying for a great job? Join our scream team as a Fright Fest character and enjoy the scariest job this side of the grave. Show us your coldest stare or wicked talent, and we’ll bring you to the dark side as a Fright Fest character. You’ll enjoy an endless supply of fresh brains, plus other amazing perks that are to die for! This is a seasonal role that staffs our haunted houses, attractions, and scare zones throughout Fright Fest. This role begins in Mid-September and runs through the end of October.

Previous acting or scaring experience is not required!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Take on a character role during Fright FestScare the public at special park functionsLeave guests’ screams echoing through the crisp night airMaintain the safety of the attraction and guestsRemain in character at all timesWear the assigned costume appropriately, and supply black shoes, black pants, and long sleeve black shirtOperate a small propMaintain the cleanliness of the attraction including removing litter, changing trash, and wiping down surfacesListen to direction from attractions leadershipMust be willing to work in a haunted attractionMay come into contact with straw, corn, latex, small spaces, dark spaces, strobe lighting, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of ageMust be available Saturdays from at least 4pm to park closeMust possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform job dutiesMust maintain a positive attitude and working environmentMust be able to cooperate with other staffMust be able to comply with Six Flags policy and standardsMust be able to handle stressMust be able to troubleshoot problems and identify solutionsMust have strong work ethic and communication skillsMust be available for rehearsals/trainings starting in SeptemberMust be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditionsMust be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitudeMust have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
