Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Freight Rate Validation Specialist for a 6-month temporary position. In this role, you will support rate validation and SOX compliance activities within our logistics team. You will play a key role in ensuring freight rates are properly validated and compliant with established procedures.
ResponsibilitiesRun the weekly freight rate change report from SAP, adhering to specified SOX-related parameters.Verify that each rate change or new rate was requested and approved through DocuWare, ensuring they appear on the report.Collaborate with the team to validate the rate, effective date, and associated DocuWare approval number.Confirm that the rate change aligns with the Master Hauler Agreement, approved bids, mileage tables, and other approved documents stored in DocuWare.Identify any variances between the report and the approved rates, document these discrepancies, and ensure follow-up with the Freight Audit Specialist to correct the rates in SAP.Maintain evidence of follow-up until the rate is corrected and reflected in the new freight rate change report.Re-run the rate change report in SAP for the appropriate date range or obtain individual screenshots of updated records once variances are resolved.Capture and document report parameters, row totals, and time/date stamps if a report is re-run.Ensure all validations and comments are completed, and sign off in the designated cell to confirm that no additional review or comments are outstanding.Essential SkillsProficiency in rate validation and transportation billing.Advanced skills in SAP and Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.Experience in accounts payable and invoice processing.Strong customer service abilities.Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.Bilingual in English and Spanish.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
