Free Trade Zone Administrator
FTZ Administrator Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrator to oversee compliance and reporting related to Free Trade Zones (FTZ). The role involves operating inventory control systems and managing relationships with FTZ-related parties to ensure smooth operations and risk management. Responsibilities + Prepare FTZ related data and supporting documentation for submission to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on a daily and weekly basis. + Assist with valuation, classification, and reporting issues related to CBP. + Review daily FTZ Variance Reports and support operations with tariff risk mitigation efforts. + Execute post entry summary corrections. + Manage daily inventory balances, monitor zone admission data, and conduct weekly estimates for import and export processes. + Collaborate with the distribution center to proactively address and resolve daily inventory issues. + Verify inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and adjustments, and investigate overages and shortages. + Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities regularly. + Ensure proper FTZ procedures, including managing data for inbound receipts and reporting admissions. + Assist in risk management for FTZ purposes by reviewing CBP documentation and auditing FTZ transactions. + Comply with CBP and FTZ Board requirements. + Collaborate with brokerage, information management, compliance, and inbound logistics teams as needed. Essential Skills + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. + Comprehensive knowledge of FTZ, trade compliance, and CBP regulations. + Bachelor's degree in supply chain logistics/distribution or equivalent years of experience. + Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in customs and international trade issues, inventory control, or warehousing. + Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work effectively under pressure and comprehend complex issues. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Customs broker's license is preferred. + Knowledge of Power BI, OneSource, Integration Point, and SAP is a plus. Work Environment The role requires a proactive individual capable of working both independently and as part of a team. The environment is fast-paced, with deadlines requiring effective time management and problem-solving under pressure. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
