Santander Digital Services is looking for a Fraud Prevention Analyst based out of Spain or Portugal.

As a Fraud Prevention Data Analyst, you will be responsible for detecting and analysing fraud patterns, strengthening monitoring capabilities, and supporting the development of effective prevention strategies across the organisation.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, metrics, and KPIs to monitor fraud performance and trends.

Support fraud investigations by providing deep analytical insights and data-driven evidence,

Collaborate as key partner of several teams of Fraud and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. risk, audit), to translate data and analysis.

Identify emerging fraud trends and risks through data insights and proactively advise on countermeasures.

Manage data governance, quality, and integrity across all fraud datasets, raising and leading on data quality and efficiency changes or enhancements.

Professional Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience in data, analytics, or fraud-related roles, with focus in Fraud. (Required)

Proven experience in data or analytics roles within financial services, fintech, payments, or similar environments. (Required)

Education

University degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field or relevant experience. (Required)

Certifications in fraud prevention skills or tools. (Preferred)

Certifications in data analytics. (Preferred)

Certifications in cybersecurity . (Preferred)
 

Languages

English (Required)

Spanish (Required)
 

Hard Skills

Data analysis skills, using tools such as Power BI, Excel, Python, SQL, and big data platforms (e.g., cloud-based platforms). (Required)

Knowledge of fraud analytics and detection methodologies, including real-time decisioning. (Required)

Statistics knowledge (trends, deviations, correlations). (Required)

Knowledge of banking products and processes, such as cards, loans, payments, digital onboarding and banking apps. (Preferred)

Familiarity with topics related to fraud or financial crime, such as first-party fraud, authorized/non-authorized fraud, money mules, etc.. (Preferred)

Knowledge in Cyberfraud TTPs and trends per taxonomy (ex: scams, cards fraud, identity fraud, online/mobile fraud, etc…), per products (ex: payments, debit cards, digital wallets, dealer fraud, mobile, web, etc…) and type of attack (ex: phishing, deepfakes, money mules, social engineering, account takeover, vishing, impersonation, etc…). (Required)

Regulatory knowledge applicable to fraud. (Preferred)

Understanding of machine learning models and algorithms (optional but valuable). (Preferred)

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a focus on data-driven decision-making

Ability to work and reach satisfactory agreements and find practical solutions for Fraud with all its stakeholders in different geographies and roles

Excellent and clear communication skills in both online in written interactions, and face-to-face customer service interactions.

Business relationship management at high pressure situations.

Ability to work effectively across cultures and geographies.
