FP&A Senior Specialist - Supply Chain

Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Specialist – Supply Chain Care Enablement

Goal of function:

The FP&A Senior Specialist is responsible for performing the day-to-day transactional activities within Financial Planning & Analysis, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, business-oriented services. The role focuses on financial planning and analysis activities to support effective decision-making and drive business performance. This position supports the FP&A function for the Care Enablement Supply Chain business entity globally, with a primary focus on Transportation, Warehousing and Inventory as well as related Supply Chain statistical KPIs. This role will work closely with the Finance Business Partner responsible for the global Supply Chain Organization.

Tasks*

Prepare budgets and forecasts for Supply Chain units and monitor their implementation to ensure alignment with business objectivesSupport the Finance Business Partner and Supply Chain Business Team in analysing deviations from budget and forecast, providing clear insights into underlying driversCreate visibility on inventory levels, obsolescence, and carrying costs, support working capital optimization initiativesSupport the Finance Business Partner in conducting in-depth profitability analyses across business units, products, and customer segments to identify improvement opportunitiesCreate and present management reports and presentations focused on Supply Chain performance, key business KPIs, and strategic initiativesMonitor cost development, perform cost centre controlling, and support budget holders in managing their financial responsibilitiesContribute to month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of accruals, reconciliations, and financial commentaryEnsure compliance with internal control requirements, corporate policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Supply Chain, and Commercial OperationsAutomate, expand and further develop cost tracking and reporting using ERP and/ or BI toolsSupport data quality improvement across operational and financial systemsDevelop cost-per-activity insights (e.g. cost per product, cost per delivery)Conduct special analyses and ad-hoc requests

Qualifications, experience, know-how and skills critical for success*

1) Required training and education:

Vocational training, university degree, PhD, MBA, specialized further education etc.

Academic degree or equivalent diploma in relevant subject matter (Economics or Finance)CPA, ACCA, CMA, CIMA or equivalent accounting certification is a plus

2) Required professional experience (in years):

Please list the minimum number of years of professional experience required, as well as all relevant experience in specific functions, e.g. project management or line management experience.

6-10 years of experience working on similar position in FP&A or any other relevant field, preferably within a supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing environment.

4) Other specialized knowledge, expertise and skills:

a) Functional knowledge

Solid experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, including cost centre controlling and profitability analysisStrong understanding of supply chain cost structures (transportation, warehousing, inventory management) and finance skills, including preparation of business cases for investments and performance analysis using business KPIsProficient in preparing management reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, and familiar with group reporting standards (IFRS) as well as compliance requirementsAbility to collaborate effectively across departments (e.g. Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial) and contribute to cross-functional and international projects

b) IT skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and presentationFamiliar with ERP systems, ideally within an SAP environment; experience with SAP BI tools is considered an assetExposure with planning and forecasting tools such as Anaplan is a plusSolid understanding of modern communication tools, digitalization trends, and basic principles of e-health and data security

c)  Languages

High fluency in English language in the business environment
