As our FP&A Strategy Intern, you will be at the heart of SumUp’s decisions about finance and strategy and help shape the firm’s future. There will be no such thing as a typical day as you will deal with various exciting tasks. This role can offer you a diverse learning experience with unlimited growth potential.

What you’ll do:

Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate budget allocation and business plans Examine internal financial data to identify risks and opportunities and provide financial expertise to support managerial decision making Support cross-functional projects to maximise financial performance, such as pricing strategies, revenue optimisation, or cost reduction initiatives Develop business cases to assess the financial viability of projects, including product or market launches, and provide data-driven support for senior leadership reporting and presentations. Develop and monitor KPIs and financial metrics to assess performance, while also contributing to the optimization and automation of finance-related processes through the implementation of new methodologies and/or tools.

You’ll be great for this role if:

You want to learn how to master financial modeling and forecasting techniques You already possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to other members of the organisation You have a master’s degree in a financial discipline or are about to graduate You have prior experience (eg. internships) in financial evaluation and planning, consulting, or fast-paced environments such as venture capital, startups or equivalent You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides ( SAP experience is a plus)
