Reports To: FP&A Associate Manager
Position Summary:
The position is a key role to lead all FP&A activities for one of business divisions of Analytical Instrument Group (AIG) in Thermo Fisher scientific in Japan. As a strategic business partner, the position will closely work with a senior director level Commercial/Service Leader in Japan as well as global Finance counterparts for assigned business divisions and contributes to the business divisions’ performance improvement by providing insightful financial analysis and support for execution.
Job Responsibilities
Support leading and managing financial planning and review processes:
Forecast, track, analyze revenue and P/L as well as preparing monthly/quarterly business review packageMonitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of varianceCommunicate with Commercial/Service Leader for financial performanceMeasure and identify opportunities to improve financial performanceSupport preparing annual operating plan, monthly and mid-term forecasts, and long-term strategic planDevelop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiativesPerform complex financial analysis to support management decision making processLiaise with Global division/Commercial/Finance and APAC Commercial/Finance teamsAttributes/Skills

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, or equivalent knowledge2+ years experiences in FP&A or Commercial Finance rolesThorough understanding in financial accountingStrong command in English and JapaneseHands-on experience in ERP (SAP/Oracle) and analytical tools (Hyperion)
