FP&A Analyst I

This onsite position is an Analyst I role reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis [FP&A] at our Great Lakes Works in Ecorse, MI. This position is responsible for analyzing financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting, driving cost improvements, facilitating business partnerships, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. This is a highly visible and engaging position working with all levels within the enterprise.
Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldSkills, Abilities, and Attributes: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail, willingness to learn, problem-solving abilities, and result-driven action-oriented mindsetAbility to collaborate and work independently in fast-paced environmentExperience with FP&A, other data/analysis intense fields, and/or Manufacturing/Industrial settings is a plusBasic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience with Oracle ERP, OneStream, Power BI, or Python is a plusResponsibilities: Drive accountability and value-creating action through robust variance analysisGain a deep understanding of the manufacturing process and critical business driversFacilitate business partnering, engagement, and communication between Operations and other business support groups to enhance operational and financial resultsSupport annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and monthly updatesDevelop critical KPI targets and drive accountability with KPI ownersPressure test improvement project plans and resultsDrive process improvements that result in efficiencies and effectivenessCreate business cases and financial support for capital appropriations and investmentsPrepare analysis and presentations to support plant and/or executive leadership including proactive and insightful analysis and commentary on enterprise resultsAssist, facilitate, and/or collaborate with Operations, FP&A and other support groups to develop forecasts and complete month end closingsTraining and Development:Mentoring and training provided by onsite FP&A ManagerOpportunities to function independently on certain tasksPotential for career growth and advancement within the company
