What Matters MostAnnual salary range of $70,000-80,000 depending on experience100% onsite roleLocation: Omaha, NEDirect hire opportunityJob DescriptionA local staple is seeking an experienced FP&A Analyst to join its capital budget team. This role plays a critical part in planning, resource alignment, and sustainability. The analyst will help manage the future budgets and forecast its growth plan, ensuring resources are allocated responsibly.This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic finance professional to make an impact on a mission-driven team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and service to the campus community.ResponsibilitiesDrive the preparation, review, and management of the budgetCollaborate with FP&A, Facilities, Finance, and senior leadership to align capital planning with institutional priorities relating to the 5-year goal planTrack and analyze multi-year project budgets, expenditures, and funding streams.Validate cost estimates, update cash flow projections, and reconcile budgets vs. actuals.Ensure accurate capital accounting, classification, and asset tracking.Prepare financial reports, dashboards, forecasts, and scenario models.Coordinate with donors on funding sources.Contribute to board materials, grant requests, and funding applications.Recommend improvements to capital budgeting processes, tools, and reporting.  Qualifications and StrengthsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.3+ years of experience in capital budgeting, multi-year planning, or project analysis.Strong knowledge with dealing in multiple ERP systems – Workday preferredAdvanced Excel skills.Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.Knowledge of capital accounting, public procurement, and facilities planning.Experience in higher education, non-profit, government, or public sector preferred.Ability to travel locally between branch locationsBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-matched 401(k)PTO and paid holidaysProfessional development & continuing education supportFree tuition opportunitiesCollaborative and mission-driven team cultureYour New OrganizationA Omaha staple in the education space – with a proud reputation of high employee retention with exceptional benefits for their employees.
