We are seeking a talented FP&A Accountant to join the Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) Large Engines Consolidations team.  The position supports various consolidated business unit reporting processes with a focus on sales and transfers analysis and as well as projects aligned with Caterpillar’s Global Finance strategy.  The role supports LPSD, a Caterpillar division which designs and manufactures diesel and gas engines and key engine systems such as fuel, air, aftertreatment and cooling which are used to power oil & gas, electric power, marine, rail and Cat machine applications around the world.

What You Will Do:

Conduct financial analysis, planning, and reporting for LPSD Large Engines Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.Coordinate and maintain accountable and legal entity transfer prices.Perform monthly analysis of LPSD Large Engines accountable transfers and initiate corrective action as needed.Generate financial forecasts and budgets (annual business plan, quarterly RBM’s, and outlooks) as needed based on changing business conditions.Consolidate, analyze, and communicate LPSD Large Engines business unit financial results to management.Transition LPSD Large Engines forecasting processes to the Axiom FP&A reporting tool.  Axiom report development.Communicate financial results to Corporate Accounting and to other business partners inside and outside the business unit as needed.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes. Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Top Candidates Will Have:

Education: 4-year degree in accounting OR any 4-year degree with an accounting certification (CPA/CMA)Knowledge of various Caterpillar businesses, products, and systems (Axiom, GLS, EOMP, etc.). Experience with presentation and visualization tools such as Power BI.

Summary Pay Range:

$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
