This newly created FP&A role represents an exciting opportunity to partner directly with the Director of Financial Controls, providing analytical support and helping to shape the future of the finance function.
Position Summary
The FP&A Specialist will serve as a key partner to leadership, supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational analytics. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of complex financial data, modeling, and storytelling while learning and contributing to payroll operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working closely with leadership, and is motivated to bring innovative insights using AI and modern reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities
+ Partner closely with the Director of Financial Controls and Financial Operations Controller to provide FP&A support, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
+ Support payroll operations for ~80 employees, working closely with team members to learn the process (prior payroll experience is a plus, but not required)
+ Prepare, maintain, and audit financial and compliance documentation, ensuring accuracy for leadership reviews
+ Develop models and perform financial analysis to tell the story behind the numbers and provide actionable insights
+ Investigate financial variances, operational issues, and shipment/delivery delays, and recommend corrective actions
+ Create and distribute management reporting using Excel, Teams, and other reporting tools
+ Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance reporting, detect trends, and streamline analytical processes
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring data integrity and consistency in reporting
+ Serve as a trusted business partner, effectively communicating insights and supporting decision-making
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
+ 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, or accounting
+ Strong analytical, modeling, and forecasting skills
+ Experience with reporting tools and AI-driven analytics
+ Excellent communication skills; comfortable interacting with leadership and cross-functional teams
+ Detail-oriented, motivated, and highly organized
Preferred Qualifications
+ Big 4 or consulting background preferred
+ Exposure to ERP or planning platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365)
+ Familiarity with performance metrics, KPIs, and financial governance
+ Experience implementing AI or automated reporting processes
Work Schedule & Compensation
+ Hybrid schedule: Remote Monday & Friday, in-office Tuesday–Thursday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; core office hours 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
+ Base Salary: $115–$125K
+ Bonus Potential: 10–15%
