Foundry Lead
**Foundry Area Lead** + _Casting/Foundry Experience_ + _$22-$27/hr (based on experience)_ + _Coldwater, MI_ **Job Description** Supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating Associates. Assist the department by being involved in safety, quality, and production aspects within the department. The Area Leader will prepare and present verbal and written reports, as well as perform other related manufacturing duties as required. **Responsibilities** + Direct and coordinate the activities of Associates engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine operators, and furnace operators. + Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports, to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs. + Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments. + Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. + Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or misalignment, and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards. + Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems and complaints. + Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers. + Maintain operations data such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results. + Recommend or implement measures to motivate Associates and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. + Set up and adjust machines and equipment. **Essential Skills** + Casting process expertise + At least 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting + 3+ years of prior work experience in foundry/manufacturing experience + Ability to work in a dirty/dusty environment **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical aptitude + Experience setting up and operating manufacturing equipment (tool room equipment, mills, lathes, presses, injection molding machines, saws, etc.) + Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues + Physical capability to walk for the entire work shift and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly + Ability to work from heights with proper PPE **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
