Foundation Development Manager
Job Summary

Responsible for fundraising program at Corewell Health, Grosse Pointe in addition to other clinical areas as assigned. Manage a major gift prospect portfolio to cultivate and solicit gifts and participate in events. Coordinate collaborative efforts with the Senior Director, Major Gifts and Major Gift team. 

Essential Functions

Partner with the Senior Director, Major Gifts to develop an overall strategy plus long-range and annual plan for the Grosse Pointe program and other assigned clinical areas. 

Ensures Foundation plans are implemented and goals are achieved.

Develops and promotes relationships with Corewell Health East Administration and clinical staff. 

Performs duties as liaison for the Foundation with this group while promoting a culture of philanthropy.

Works closely with the Senior Director, Major Gifts to ensure achievement of Grosse Pointe’s goal as part of Corewell Health’s comprehensive campaigns, including, as appropriate, participating in the medical school campaign.

Manages a portfolio of prospects, developing and implementing plans for cultivation and solicitation of these prospects to meet established fundraising goals and metrics in collaboration with community and hospital leaders and, as appropriate, other major gift officers.

Collaborates with Director Restricted Fund Management and Administration to ensure that policies and procedures regarding restricted funds are current and aligned with the Foundation’s overall objectives.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree

5 years of relevant experience in fundraising with significant experience in major gifts, planned gifts and capital campaigns and special events.

Strong management skills required along with experience in health care.

Evidence of working successfully with volunteers and committees and with prospects for six and seven figure gifts.

Preferred

Master's Degree

Fundraising Certification or CFRE

Proven experience in planned giving
